Furstenau releases caucus letter outlining areas of continued collaboration with government

September 22, 2020

VICTORIA B.C. – Sonia Furstenau, BC Green Party Leader, is releasing a letter sent to John Horgan on September 18, 2020 outlining areas of continued cooperation between the two parties.

“When I was elected Leader, I assured the Premier he had a stable government and outlined concrete areas of cooperation for us to work on,” said Furstenau.

“I deeply regret that instead of working together on linking our COVID-19 recovery to the establishment of a low-carbon economy, improving the quality of our care homes, expanding support for mental health and implementing Bonnie Henry’s recommendations to address the overdose crisis.

“Instead, the Premier has put his Ministers on the campaign trail so he can seek out a majority government that has more centralized control. Our democracy works best when we focus on how we can deliver tangible solutions that will make a difference for the people we serve. That is the kind of representation the BC Greens are offering the people of BC and I’m excited to share our plans in the coming weeks.”
